Got bored from Cairo? Want to have a nice time by the sea, but you don’t want to drive for too long? Let’s go to a fascinating place, which is only 2 hours away from Cairo: Ras Sudr. So many people think that there’s nothing to do there, but that’s not true. Let’s discover this underrated city.
The Hidden Places:
1- Blue Point:
Did you hear about Blue Point in Ras Sudr? It’s one of the best spots in the world to kitesurf and take kitesurfing courses. The story of the beach began when the germans used to camp in this spot, and do water activities. Then more people started to go, which made the owner of the Yasmine resort cooperate with Alaa Abdullah and build a camp there; to encourage others to come and see this beautiful spot.
It is a new place inside the Yasmine Village. You can enter through the door of the Sinai Stars Resort.
How to get there?
You can go by car, GoBus, or SWVL. The prices range between 185 LE - 200 LE per person. The camp includes many huts and bungalows. It is very clean and has air conditioners and comfortable beds.
The price of the accommodation is 1150 LE for the double room, including breakfast and dinner from the set menu.

What activities can you do there?
During the day :
You can try kitesurfing. If you know how to surf, you will find it easy to rent a full gear with 1000 LE for the whole day.
If you want to learn, you can take a full course on the weekend for 4000 LE.
During the night:
They arrange several activities like Barbecues and Karaoke nights. You will find fine-dining with good quality food and 5-star services. From there, they also arrange trips to the Sulfur Eyes and the Pharaoh’s bath, which is 10 minutes away from Blue Point.
2- Sulfur Eyes:
The Sulfur Eyes are not usually a famous destination when people go to Ras Sudr, yet it is a magnificent place that everybody should visit at least once.
It is a place where you can enjoy swimming, but be careful and wear your swimsuit before hand; there isn't a place there to change your clothes.
You can put the sulfur on your body, as it is supposed to have healing powers for many diseases, especially for your bones. But be careful, it has a very bad odor. It is a natural spa where you can relax. And if you experience any bone pain; I can guarantee you that it will help you to heal if you soak yourself in it for long enough.
3- Pharaoh’s Bath:
If you have already gone to the Sulfur eyes, you don’t want to miss the Pharaoh’s bath.
The Pharaoh's Bath is a cave that contains a hot spring. Its temperature reaches up to ninety degrees Celsius, and it is considered the hottest among the springs and wells in Egypt. All your skin cells will be rejuvenated, and you’ll feel ten years younger.
It will be the perfect retreat after a long, stressful week.
Things to pack with you:
1- Off Spray for the mosquitoes.
2- Torch in case you want to have a walk on the beach.
3- Swimsuit & Towel.
