I am the male first born
The pride of the family
The holder of a name
I’m not sure I can live up to
A name I will not give to one I love
I was stamped with dreams
I never dreamt of
Forced unto a path
My legs are not steady on
But this is the culture
I have been born into
One of heritage
Where identity
Is not yours to choose.
