“When it Comes”

When it Comes”

When the feeling disappears,

and you’re pulled out of the only thing you know,

the drops of rain on the windowsill,

and the smell of the smoke-infused corridors;

it’s heavier on your chest.

When you’re at the: “no longer, but not yet.”

And all options signal an end.

When the words on the pages stop meaning the same meanings.

but you’re stuck in that moment.

That moment when everything was right.
